October Meeting

Our October meeting will include a talk by Anne Frey of the Southern Adirondack Beekeepers Association.  Her topic will be “Oops!” It’s a humorous look at when things go wrong. 

Pot Luck Supper:  Bring a dish to share

Tasks to be on top of this time of year:

·       Make sure there are no mice in your hives and install mouse guards

·       Check for honey stores and begin to feed if hives are light

·       Finish harvest, extraction, get extracted frames cleaned up by hives

·       Check that hive woodenware is in good shape for winter

As you are putting away items for winter don’t hesitate to set aside a tool or piece of equipment that could be used as a door prize!
