Lorenzo Langstroth invented the modern moveable frame beehive in 1852. He wrote the first apiary manual here, "On the Hive and the Honeybee," still in world wide use today. Every June since 2010, Bee Fest celebrates the importance of bees today with free fun kid activities and informative lectures by leading experts.

June 23 - Betterbee Field Day, free but must sign up ahead of time.  Speaker Dr. Kirsten Traynor 9-3 pm 

June 30 - Bennington Farmer's Market Our club will have an exhibit/table. Do you have some honey to sell?

July 28 - Pownal Valley Fair Bennington Beekeepers booth, We need volunteers for our table, set up and take down.  2 hour shifts are needed 10:00-3:00
